16L, 26L or 60L? How to Choose the Right Size Cool Bag

An insulated cool bag is one of those things you use more than you expect: for the weekly shop, picnics, days out, packed lunches and food delivery. The trick is choosing the right size. Here's a quick guide to our three sizes.

16L: everyday and small shops

Approx. 30 x 18 x 30cm. A compact size for frozen and chilled items on a top-up shop, a packed lunch for the family, or drinks and snacks for a day out. Easy to carry and easy to store.

26L: the weekly shop and picnics

Approx. 22 x 30 x 40cm. Our most versatile size. It holds the frozen and chilled part of a weekly shop, a picnic for a small family, or takeaway and delivery orders.

60L: big shops, family days out and delivery

Approx. 30 x 40 x 50cm. For bulk shopping, large family picnics, camping, parties and food delivery work where you need plenty of space.

Tips to keep food at the right temperature

• Pre-chill or pre-warm. Put chilled items in a cool bag that's already cool, or add ice packs before packing.
• Fill the space. A full bag holds its temperature better than a half-empty one. Add ice packs or a towel to fill gaps.
• Keep hot and cold separate. Use separate bags for hot meals and chilled food.
• Keep it closed. Zip the bag shut between uses and keep it out of direct sun.
• Get chilled food back in the fridge as soon as you're home.
